       Congratulations to all of the students, parents, faculty and staff of Mermentau Elementary School for being recognized, as Louisiana's 2011-2012 High Performing Elementary School.  Mermentau was selected above 800 other Louisiana schools and will represent Louisiana at the National Title 1 Conference in Seattle, Washington.  This honor would not be possible without the vital ingredients that make a good school a great school; exceptional students, involved parents, exemplary teachers, committed support personnel, and a supportive administrative team.  The school personnel wants to thank everyone who makes a positive impact on education.  It does make a difference.
